Objective
The Harvard Graduate School of Education (GSE) wanted to allow remote students, faculty, alumni and the public to participate virtually in an "Immersive Learning Environments" panel discussion as part of its 2014 Education Technology Showcase.
Strategy
Harvard GSE extended its programmatic reach to remote constituents by offering the opportunity to not only watch the in-room panel discussion, but also to participate via live video chat.
Results
Harvard GSE was able to extend its programmatic reach beyond the in-person audience to over 5x as many online participants. The "Immersive Learning Environments" panel proved to be a successful example of a hybrid event that allowed the panel to reach both a live and online audience.
