My webcam doesn't work.

Rollover your picture and click the "Camera/Microphone wizard" button to open the Audio/Video Settings dialog. Select the Webcam tab. You will see all of the cameras that are hooked up to your computer. If a camera is working correctly, you will see your image. Click your image to select that camera. If the camera you want to use isn't displayed, check that it's plugged in correctly and is selected in your computer's system settings. Close any other video chat applications while using Shindig Events. If these steps don't work, try restarting your computer and rejoining Shindig Events.

My microphone doesn't work.

Rollover your picture and click the "Camera/Microphone wizard" button to open the Audio/Video Settings dialog. Select the Mic tab. Click the name of the microphone you would like to use. If you try speaking while this dialog is open, you should see green bars to the right of the selected microphone. If you speak and you don't see any green bars, try going into your computer's system preferences and checking that your microphone isn't muted. If these steps don't work, try restarting your computer and rejoining Shindig Events.

I see my Facebook profile picture instead of live video

If you don't have enough bandwidth to use Shindig Events to its full capacity, you'll see your Facebook profile picture instead of a feed from your webcam. If you are running another application that uses bandwidth, please close it.
