American University graduate students on internships use Shindig as part of a course to connect with the professor and each other.
Objective
American University graduate students enrolled in an internship course meet virtually for a professor-guided, but a highly student-driven, conversation to share best practices, ask questions, and reflect on individual internships.
Strategy
Using Shindig's multiple levels of interactivity -- specifically small group collaboration and Podium features -- students were asked to collaborate amongst themselves in small groups as well as broadcast key learnings and questions to the entire class by bringing themselves up to the stage using Podium.
Results
The professor was able to engage with students across the country and the students were able to engage with each other as if they were in the same physical room. The professor and the students expressed positive feedback throughout the course on how easily they were able to engage with each other and have meaningful interactions.
